The Sapphire Spectre Issue 1: Special Edition

Who is The Sapphire Spectre? When she was 18 years old, Sylvia Sloane had an encounter with a powerful ghost/demon hybrid that killed her and her family. However, through an unknown force, she was resurrected and given a second shot at life. She soon discovered she can make her living body enter a "death stasis" at will and project her own ghost into the spiritual plane. Shaken but determined, Sylvia discovered she's comprised of energy far beyond that of the average spirit, and uses this power to right wrongs and dispatch of evil spirits, demons and other etherial undesirables. Now, in her early 20's, Sylvia has gained a reputation as a powerful force of vengeance in the ghostly dimension as The Sapphire Spectre. She will not stop fighting until the gap between the world of the living and the dead is closed for good. Who is this comic for? Anyone! It's got a bit of horror, a bit of humor, a bit of rock n roll and a little superheroine. If I were to give The Sapphire Spectre as a whole a "movie rating" for content, it would be a "harsh PG-13" or "light R" rating. Some swearing, some fantasy-violence and not overtly heavy on the sexy content, but it's there. It's reccomended for Jr. High and above.

I can't believe how far we have come so far and there is only 4 days left to get in on the project. We surpassed our 200 backer goal and unlocked the Melissa Character Card. Every one of you who have supported this campaign deserve something special, so I am working on a super secret project for the next stretch goal at $12K! I'll let you in on a little hint though, it will be a special comic size print of The Sapphire Spectre... but with a little twist. I'm super excited about it, so I hope you are too. Thank you so much everyone for your support! We have blown past the $9K stretch goal, which is a comic size print by Alfred Trujillo, and we are less than $100 away from our $10k goal, which is a bomber ASM 300 pose sticker. PLUS, when we hit 200 backers, another stretch goal will be unlocked, and all backers will receive a Melissa Character Card. We are working on goals for the next goal at $11K, so stay tuned for updates.

We heard you! Retailers everywhere are looking for indie comic books to stock their shelves, and The Sapphire Spectre is here to save the day. We just added 9 retailer tiers that offer 10 copies of your chosen cover at a reduced cost. If you are a retailer and are looking for more than 10 copies of a cover, or you want multiple cover choices, just send us a message.
A few people have asked that we add the ASM 300 as a separate tier now that it is unlocked, so that is now available for pledging. If you already pledged and want to add this on to your order, send me a message and I add it to your overpledge.
Don't forget we unlock a kick-ass comic size print of Alfred Trujillo's Sapphire Spectre depiction when we hit $9k, so if you have anything you want to add to your order, now is the time to do it! Thank you to everyone who has pledged thus far. We did find one issue with the Suffer homage tier, as it was not adding shipping. We have contacted everyone affected to add additional shipping based on their location.
The Kickstarter platform only lets you pledge for 1 tier at a time, so if you want more Sapphire Spectre goodies, you can do any cover or expansion (see below) as an ADD-ON! Adding on now before the Kickstarter ends will help us unlock additional stretch goals.
How to do an ADD-ON...
